Kim Lyons 30 Day Challenge is a new, exciting HIIT RE training program. Each workout consists of ten exercises. Each exercise is repeated for 40 seconds with a 20 second break before starting the next exercise.
So why 40 seconds? Kim wants you to have 10 seconds to get your body in tune with the exercise, 20 seconds to go full force & 10 seconds to push yourself out of your comfort zone. The idea is that you really earn your 20 seconds recovery time to catch your breath, shake it out & get in position for the next exercise.
The weekly schedule utilizes the benefits of full body training, split style training & cardio workouts. Full body training allows you to achieve more in a shorter amount of time by using compound exercises-exercises that target more than one body part at a time. Split style training is where you train different muscles on different days of the week. For example, Tuesday is our lower body day. You end up getting the best of both worlds in this challenge!
